Data Modul introduced the eMotion ST3:4, the latest addition to the eMotion ST-Line of LCD controller boards based on the company's latest chip generation with advanced Faroudja image enhancement technology and support for DisplayPort up to version 1.2.

The high-end solution offers DisplayPort, DVI-I (with integrated VGA-analog), HDMI (with HDCP Support) and video-inputs and can therefore be used for any area of application. Beyond that, the standard DisplayPort 1.2 output enables numerous possibilities, to use the board for completely new applications. When using the eMotion ST3:4 in a dual configuration, high resolution 4K2K/QFHD displays can be driven in a very simple way. Furthermore, it can show up to four different video streams via one single DisplayPort output of a PC in a daisy-chain setup.

From beginning of 2013 an optional audio extension board with integrated 5W amplifier will also be available.

As a new feature, the OSD menu of the new ST-series LCD controller boards can be controlled by RS232. In addition all products of the new eMotion ST-series can be controlled via DDC (Display Data Channel).

The eMotion ST3:4 supports displays with LVDS inputs up to 2560x1600 pixels resolution in single configuration as well as 4K2K/QFHD and higher resolutions in a multiple setup. Samples are available from now on and mass production will start from the beginning of 2013.
